He managed to grab several gold necklaces, but his plan unravelled when he discovered he couldn’t lift the gate from the inside due to its proximity to the shop’s display counter. Desperate to escape, he searched for an alternative exit at the back of the shop but found none. Trapped, he was left with no choice but to wait until morning, when staff arrived, secured the door with an additional lock, and alerted the police.
