A Taste of Malaysia in the Top 10

MyKuali Penang White Curry Noodles claimed the fifth spot in the 2025 rankings released by the Ramen Rater, a platform founded by Lienesch, who has sampled over 4,000 varieties of instant noodles since 2002. Describing the dish, Lienesch said that the “plump noodles” and a “rich and thick broth with shrimp paste and spiciness” was a game-changer. “It absolutely blew my mind and still does to this day. If you have not tried Malaysian curry, you are really missing out” he said.

Close behind at seventh place is Mamee Chef Mi Goreng Perisa Rendang Legenda, celebrated for its signature Thai basil aroma and rich flavor profile. Lienesch praised its appetizing taste, adding, “Take a great noodle and pair it with the flavors of traditional mi goreng, and add a strong basil bump to it. Really gives it a nice gourmet experience and really quite exotic.”

For the tenth consecutive year, the top spot was awarded to Prima Taste Wholegrain Laksa La Mian from Singapore, which Lienesch lauded as flavourful, spicy and rich, with bouncy and smooth noodles. His annual list, curated with strict adherence to package instructions and without added seasonings, has earned him widespread trust among instant noodle enthusiasts globally.
